The University of Arizona is a public land-grant research university in Tucson, Arizona founded in 1885. The men’s lacrosse program is a member of the Men''s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I, an association of 10 conferences nationwide. Arizona competes in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC), one of the most competitive leagues in the MCLA. The SLC has produced teams that have played in the MCLA championship game in eleven of the last 12 years, winning three of the last six. The official colors of the university and its teams are cardinal red and navy blue.
