Job Summary

Job Title: Guest Services Coordinator (Full-Time)
Department: Guest Services
Reports to: Director of Guest Services


Position Summary:
The Guest Services Coordinator will be directly responsible for coordination and logistics of the parking, transportation, traffic management and event setup/teardown departments within the Guest Services Department.  This position will manage all aspects of the defined sub departments for all events at Charlotte Motor Speedway, The Dirt Track at Charlotte, and zMAX Dragway.  The Guest Services Coordinator will be directly responsible for management of more than 350 event-staff on event day.

Job Responsibilities:
·  Hire, staff, train and, manage all event-staff within the following sub departments
·  Parking
·  Transportation
          -  Trams and shuttle buses
          -  Fan assistance golf carts
          -  Wheelchair accessible vans
          -  Media center buses
·  Traffic management and planning
·  Event setup and teardown
          -  Areas of entertainment activation
·  Hire and support event-staff supervisors within each area of responsibility to assist with event-staff management on event days
·  Continuously improve and upgrade all event staff
·  Provide and maintain necessary equipment required to accomplish departmental functions
·  Order and coordinate delivery of rental equipment and vehicles needed to support each event
·  Serve as a liaison between CMS and the NC Highway Patrol and NC DOT  and City of Concord Transportation teams to facilitate ingress and egress event traffic
·  Coordinate and place event day food orders for traffic management teams
·  Coordinate and manage facility setup/teardown for each event utilizing two teams of event-staff employees.  This will include: event signage, cone placement, assembly of smoking lounges, snow fence for temporary lots, parking lot painting, light tower distribution, and all other ground logistics.
·  Maintain and develop detailed evolving setup checklists for each event to ensure a consistent and high standard for guest satisfaction
·  Establish and maintain facility readiness checklist for all three facilities from event to event throughout the year
·  Create/order all temporary directional signage needed for events annually 
·  Create detailed and evolving tram/shuttle bus and fan assistance golf cart schedules and route maps for each event to ensure proper transportation for guests in attendance
·  Work with the Operations department to make sure trams/shuttle buses have completed basic maintenance and are prepared for each event
·  Respond in a timely manner to all guest complaints received both during and after each event
·  Control personnel actions including hiring, training, promotions, discipline, and terminations within your area of responsibility
·  Maintain budgets for sub departments of parking, transportation and traffic control
·  Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements: 
A Bachelor’s degree in related coursework is required. Experience in management is required. Applicant must be a people oriented person, hardworking and highly motivated. Relevant industry experience is suggested 1-2 yrs.
