Positions: Varsity Head Coach
Season: Fall 2018/Spring 2019 with the potential to extend beyond.
Off Season: This program has an off-season program connected to it. Coaching opportunities are available for this program as well.
Summary: Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Club is seeking dynamic individual to lead its 6-time state championship lacrosse program for the 2018-19 school year. In addition to serving as the head Varsity coach, the successful candidate will provide leadership, supervision and organization for the entire Girls Lacrosse program, including Junior Varsity and feeder program levels.
*** Qualified candidates should have prior coaching experience at the high school level. Playing experience with a successful, established college program is preferred but not required.
*** Special emphasis will be placed on exemplifying the highest standards of professionalism, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Qualifications:
· Lacrosse experience as player and/or coach highly recommended.
· Minimum two years of demonstrated successful experience as the coach of a high school program.
· A passion for the game and a commitment to the Club's mission/core values.
· U.S. Lacrosse Level 2 coaching certification
Responsibilities:
· Teach and coach the Varsity to compete at the highest levels of lacrosse in Arizona.
· Provide direction to JV coaches as well as assistant coaches and coaches of the middle school feeder team program.
· Instill and maintain high standards across the program to include: good sportsmanship, leadership, a positive attitude, fair play, accountability, academic performance, and a commitment to excellence on and off the field.
· With the assistance from the board of directors, schedule games, practices, contests, tournaments and events.
· Work (with assistant coaches) to strengthen team foundational skills development and proper physical conditioning and holds players (equally) accountable for individual efforts toward such.
· Lead players and coaches in developing and instituting game-day strategies appropriate to the competition.
· Serve as a positive, but firm role model to all players relating to and inspiring confidence in our athletes.
· Collaborate with the board of directors in the organization and development of a top-tier program to include a qualified coaching staff.
· Represent the program at AZGLA coaching events as appropriate.
· Communicate, implement, & enforce player code of conduct, in accordance of the board of directors.
· Communicate effectively & collaborate with players, parents and the Pinnacle Girls Lacrosse Board on program development, scheduling, player development, volunteer support, player discipline, program policies, etc.
· Be familiar/comply with league rules & maintain a positive working relationship with the league.
· Be invested in the long-term success of the team and the organization.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, but negotiable. Performance based bonus available.
