Job Summary

Summary/Objective:This position is responsible for accounts payable and receivable transactions including, invoice payments, month-end expense accrual creation, credit card reconciliation, managing vendor databases and assisting with the completion of the annual audit.  

Essential Functions:

• Process most Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions
• Maintain Vendor database
• Assist in Month & Year End Closes as directed by the Controller
• Reconcile monthly income
• Administer expense reimbursement system, including company provided credit cards
• Assist with annual audit
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Controller
• Assist with yearly budgeting

 

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum one to three years of experience in all accounting functions, with strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of laws and tax regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Preferred Education and ExperienceExposure to non-profit business, as a professional and/or volunteer Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Experience working in Sage Intacct Accounting Software
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel

 Work Environment:

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
