Job Summary

The Athletics Office and Communications Assistant supports and assists the Director of Athletics with the successful operation of the Athletics Office, both internally and externally in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of  Education.

Responsibilities:

  • The Athletics Office and Communications Assistant supports the Director of Marketing and Communication and the Director of Athletics in marketing and branding, maintaining and managing web content and master athletic facilities calendar using Veracross, Finalsite, and/or other applicable software platforms required by the School.
  • S/he assists with the assignment of officials and referees for athletic contests and associated billing.
  • S/he confirms all games and assists with the management and logistics of contracted and internal transportation, including reconciling invoices on a regular basis to ensure accurate billing.
  • S/he produces, distributes, and communicates schedules, changes, and other pertinent information regarding athletic events to appropriate constituencies (e.g. teams, coaches, parents, faculty/staff, etc.).
  • Collaborating with the Athletics Office and all coaches, s/he coordinates and communicates dismissal and departure times with the respective students, divisional offices and faculty, confirming all athletic contests on a weekly basis with League and Non League teams.
  • S/he assists with the coordination of all responsibilities related to student organizations supporting athletics.
  • S/he collaborates with colleagues in the Physical Education Department to plan, organize, and execute activities for special events on campus (e.g. Athletics Council meetings, Admissions events, etc.).

 

Qualifications:

  • A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with related experience.
  • S/he demonstrates exceptional organizational and follow-through skills; the ability to multitask, working with a range of internal and external constituents; a collaborative spirit; and exceptional communication skills.
  • S/he demonstrates advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, the Google Suite of services, and web content development.
  • S/he must be results-oriented.
  • Ideally, s/he has experience working in schools.
  • Typical hours for this position will be 9:00am-5:30pm on all days that the School is in session.
