Job Summary

Job Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer is accountable for the day-to-day business operations for a member team in the Northeast region of the United States, of the Arena Football League. This position reports to the Vice President of Team Services at the Arena Football League and will also work directly with the rest of the Arena Football League leadership team.

 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the daily leader and face of the team 

  • Oversee and develop all fulltime employees and gameday staff

  • Provide staff with the necessary direction, leadership and resources to successfully meet and exceed P&L goals and team initiatives 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership, execution and driving results of ticket sales corporate/sponsorship sales

  • Responsible for supervision of public relations, community relations, mass media marketing, social media marketing and gameday experiences

  • Responsible for supervision of football operations

  • Manage all business operations including: P&L, developing and implementing business plans and achieving goals for each department as set forth by the Arena Football League

  • Work effectively with the Arena Football League leadership team

  • Serve as the liaison between the venue, local and state government as well as business leaders in the community

  • Work with the venue management team regarding all arena opportunities, issues and concerns

  • Other duties as assigned

 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in leadership role with a minor league or professional sports team (i.e.: CEO, COO, CRO, President or General Manager)

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Ability to develop and maintain corporate relationships, with “C” level executives, senior level managers, staff and clients

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strategic thinker

  • Ability to lead and work in a team environment
