Job Summary

Job Overview

• Prepare and disseminate information to the university community and to local and state media.
• Promote and publicize sports-related stories and events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with game day operations.
• Oversee press row/press box management for home athletics events, to include student assistants and part-time employees, and serve as host for visiting media.
• Direct and produce all sports information materials to the media.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the athletic portion of the university website.
• Manage the athletic department social media accounts and assist individual sports with their social media accounts.
• Assist with marketing and promotions projects.
• Coordinate the working relationship between the coaching staff, student athletes, and the media.
• Develop and implement office policies for the Sports Information Department.
• Manage the budget; organize publications production flow; assist with advertising for publications.
• Coordinate sports information office with the Public Relations Office.
• Provide assistance with the club luncheon, the Olympics Day golf tournament, the student-athlete awards and any other special events.
• Assist with the Hall of Fame banquet, including serving as secretary.

Qualifictions

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of related experience.
