Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, driven Business Development Manager who will maximize profitable business opportunities in target markets while paying attention to all details, small and large, that will affect department and companywide initiatives.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • The BDM is responsible for effectively acquiring, developing and growing profitable relationships in target markets. Target markets include, but are not limited to, professional and college stadiums/arenas, convention centers, inaugurations and other large-scale event venues

  • Research and develop client relationships to produce referrals; perform all phases of the sales process including preparation and documentation of all follow-ups

  • In conjunction with leadership, develop sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting/exceeding established goals

  • Effectively establish and present marketing materials and proposals to prospective clients including one-on-one meetings as well as planning, arranging and executing formal group presentations

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to include strategy for attaining profitability and volume quotas; maintain accurate records of all sales and prospect activities 

  • Participate in appropriate trade shows, vendor seminars and industry events as required

  • Work within and manage established budgets

  • Excellent Communications Skills, including the ability to capture an audience and keep their attention 

  • Excellent Negotiating Skills, while maintaining strong relationships with all prospective clients

  • Financial Understanding, with the ability to proactively measure revenue and forecasted profitability of prospective accounts

  • Self-Motivated Initiator, who sees a way through every obstacle

  • Bilingual Capabilities an advantage (a genuine interest in sports and events wouldn’t hurt, either!)

  • Strong Business Acumen, with the ability to interface and communicate at all levels of the Company

  • Natural Knack for Developing Relationships Quickly, and overall strategy to grow the business profitably

  • Traveling Enthusiast, who can travel overnight approximately 50% of the time
