Job Summary

ATHLETIC ASSISTANT 

Houston Christian High School (HC)is now accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Athletic Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and reports to the Athletic Director. This position supports all members, coaches and teams of the Athletic Department and manages the logistics of the department. Occasional after school, evening or weekend hours will be necessary. A strong knowledge and understanding of competitive sports is beneficial and the successful candidate will be a self-starter, flexible and personable.  This position may be combined with a coaching position, which may be compensated with an additional stipend.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Knowledge of marketing and promotions

• Knowledge of website management

• A high level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative.  

• Strong organizational and communication skills and detail oriented.  

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.  

• Flexibility, sense of humor, and a willingness to assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced team environment.  

• Proficient in basic technology applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Google Apps knowledge is beneficial (i.e. Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail).

• Exhibit excellent verbal, visual, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Represent the school in a positive light.
