Description The Varsity Baseball Head Coach at Rock Academy will instruct and inspire student-athletes to achieve their potential physically and spiritually during the Baseball season. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, organizing and conducting practice sessions, working and communicating with families and the athletic office to coordinate dismissal times and organization of team travel. Modeling and encouraging spiritual growth is foundational to the athletic program at Rock Academy. The ability to mentor and inspire young men to pursue excellence in all aspects of their lives is the trademark of a Rock Academy coach. Specific Information: • Season begins early February and ends late May • Practices are typically Monday-Friday, after school • Approximately 20 games are scheduled throughout the season Qualifications: • Must be a spiritually-mature Christian who understands the role athletics plays in helping young men grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. • Experienced and knowledgeable in the sport of Baseball • Relational with proven rapport/has a passion for students • Effective planner; communicates well in advance; seeks input; heads off problems by effective planning, scheduling, and communicating • Communicates well with Athletic Director and families Expectations: • Committed to the mission and philosophy of Rock Academy • Pursue excellence in all aspects of coaching at Rock Academy • Generate a love for Baseball within the players • Build a program known for competitiveness, Christ-likeness, and excellence • Comply with all CIF Rules & Regulations Contact Athletic Director Rali Schwartz
