Clinical Research Coordinator, Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• The incumbent will be responsible for providing patient care, health teaching and a safe environment to patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting, or in the patient's home as directed by physicians, physicians assistants, and in collaboration with registered nurses.
• Performs research tasks on orthopedic patients simultaneous to clinical care under the direction of Department of Orthopaedics Faculty and research director.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required. Experience with Epic, OnCore, RedCap, MediData Rave, Tempo or Inform and/or other relevant software programs is preferred.
• The ability to work outside regular clinical business hours is required as studies in critical care focus on the inpatient population where enrollment and study conduct can take place in the early morning or evening.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or related field (Masters Degree in Athletic Training preferred).
• Experience: 1 year related experience in Clinical Research and/or Athletic Training in an Orthopaedic Clinical practice is preferred.
• Licensure: Eligibility for State Athletic Training Licensure, National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) certification and American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification (or equivalent) required.
