Associate Video Producer/Editor

Job Summary

• This is a full-time position within the NHL Team and production department.
• Requires the ability to produce, shoot, and edit video packages to tell the story of, and document the construction of, the new Live Entertainment District.
• Additional production support for projects on an as needed basis. 

• Work closely with management and staff on determining strategies to document and provide a behind-the-scenes look a multi-year construction project


• Operate digital video equipment and associated computer hardware and software to support video production


• Shoot, edit, and produce multimedia videos in the studio and the field. May edit footage on the spot during live coverage


• Capture footage of planning meetings, construction, before and after footage and conduct interviews with principles involved with the project


• Ability to oversee and direct the production of a sit-down interview, including proper lighting, video and sound quality  


• Ability to operate and fly a drone, following FAA and city safety regulations 


• Coordinate camera positions and monitor time-lapse recordings


• Assist with storyboarding and brainstorming the overall vision and telling the story of the creation of the Live Entertainment District


• Assist with script writing, conduct interviews and support field producing


• Provide and coordinate video and photo delivery to media outlets, social media, marketing and sales teams as needed.


• Support on additional projects for the NHL Team and Honda Center as requested


• Demo reel is a must for consideration

• High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a video production facility or equivalent


• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop required


• Reasonable understanding and use of Adobe After Effects preferred 


• Knowledge of DSLR cameras, equivalent to Sony FS5 or similar. ENG experience helpful


• Experience with Media Asset Management systems, metadata, and media delivery software


• Able to work in an open-office style editing facility


• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal


• Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment


• Must be able to work in a team-oriented and creative environment


• Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision while meeting all deadlines 


• Ability to assist with troubleshooting, configuring and maintaining cameras, lighting gear and editing systems, including knowledge of Windows OS and Excel


• Able to set up audio, video and lighting equipment in the field


• Comfortable with heights, climbing ladders, scaffolding and occasionally walking up to 6-7 miles in a day


• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required


• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures
