Description of Job Duties

• Collaborate with Club Sports Coaches to facilitate proper international talent acquisition for open positions on various teams for the upcoming term;
• Develop a virtual tryout/vetting process for potential international club sport soccer players and in the future additional sports;
• Develop a financial aid package incentive for Club Sport participants to utilize as a recruiting tool of new students to;
• Responsible for organizing and hosting Soccer Showcases throughout Mexico to build the brand in connection with our branch campuses there;
• Host NCAA webinars with EducationUSA in select countries to build awareness of programs;
• Identify and establish an international network of reliable recruiting agents that work primarily with self-funded student-athletes for university Club Sport teams;
• Develop and implement an over-nighter style sports camp model for international students to include sample schedule, budget, and marketing strategy;
• Identify recruiting events specifically targeted at self-funded international student-athletes, propose a budget for participation and demonstrate ROI;
• Provide economic research insights using the labor market and business intelligence tools to identify target markets;
• Devise and promote innovative strategies to increase international student enrollment;
• Assist department with recruiting trips and follow up as needed;
• Respond to inquiries from prospective students, recruiting agents and third-party organizations as it relates directly to Club Sport athletes;
• Establish travel itineraries and complete necessary travel documents within UIW's purchasing and travel guidelines;
• Establish and maintain effective interactions with the university community, administrators, alumni, donors, and the public;
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Strong cross-cultural, written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organization skills;
• Ability to work independently with a team while being self-motivated, multi-tasked, diligent, diplomatic, detail-oriented, patient, and tech-savvy;
• Willingness to travel, both domestic and international;
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills;
• Thorough knowledge of NCAA regulations;
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Sport Management or related field

Required Work Experience

• Two (2) years of experience coaching a Collegiate Soccer Program/Competitive Soccer Club;
• International experience through studying abroad, living abroad or working abroad;
• Experience as a professional soccer player to assist in establishing the recruiting network and scouting process of international students for Club Soccer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in market/economic research and planning;
• Experience with a CRM system or business intelligence software;
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Sports Management;
• United States Soccer Federation 'C' Coaching License or higher

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

• Successful completion of the NCAA Recruiting Exam;
• Valid passport for travel as required for the position

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds;
• Ability to sit for an extended duration of time during travel
