Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance

Job Summary

Essential Job Duties:

The Compliance Department is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all activities related to a comprehensive NCAA Division I compliance program which includes, but is not limited to: recruiting; eligibility; financial aid; playing and practice seasons; student-athlete employment; amateurism; extra benefits; waivers; enforcement and all required reporting.

Primary Job Responsibilities of the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance include:

• Team Assignments
• Our compliance staff is organized by sport rather than by bylaws or topic areas. As such, the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance will provide full compliance support (education, monitoring, interpretations, all waivers, and violation reporting) to numerous intercollegiate teams for NCAA.

Minimum Experience/Education:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director of Athletics.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of NCAA rules and the ability to interpret, apply, and enforce them.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of athletics compliance at a Division I school, or comparable athletics compliance experience (e.g., NCAA, conference office).
