ISM is on a mission to help our clients craft lasting relationships and create lifetime memories at world class sports events, that result in increased revenue for years to come. Our successful sales people come from many different walks of life. Your background helps define where you are, but what's even more important is where you want to go, and having the drive to get there.

For over 22 years, International Sports Management, Inc. (ISM) has been the industry leader in global event sports marketing and management specializing in customized premium sports hospitality packages. Our clients require the best entertainment options at events such as the Masters in Augusta or during the NCAA Basketball Championship Game in Atlanta this year, and we deliver.

Behind our packages are the people driving it. The values we live by at ISM are: GENUINE, TEAMWORK, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, and TENACITY. We know that success comes from hard work and deserves to be recognized and rewarded. So if you’re a person that loves the challenge of an exciting sales career, are extremely motivated by hunting big targets, and want to feel like part of a family — then you just might be who we’re looking for.

The role, an Inside Sales position, will initially be responsible for new business generation, which starts with “cold” calling (this simply means you haven’t spoken to them before - it's how many of the biggest companies in the world bring on new clients!) but we teach you how to “warm” the call using your personality and communication skills very quickly. You will be calling corporate executives around the U.S. who you will be engaging with and selling packages to major golf events (U.S. Open, Ryder Cup Matches, The Masters, etc) and other “big ticket” events such as the College Football Championship, Super Bowl, NCAA Basketball Tournament, Kentucky Derby, and many more.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive sales activities including proactive targeted outreach to prospects as well as developing qualified leads, setting meetings, updating and maintaining the sales database, and doing research on targeted prospect companies
  • Develop a strong understanding of our product offerings and know how to articulate our value proposition clearly
  • Work closely with National Sales Leadership to develop strategies for targeting companies for your primary event and execute on tactical elements to support those activities. You will be in a unique position to learn from some of the most experienced and talented Enterprise Sales Leaders in our industry

What We Provide:

  • Comprehensive Training
  • Ongoing mentoring
  • Base salary + commission + bonus, uncapped
  • Bonuses, both cash & prize (monthly, quarterly & annually)
  • Bike room, locker facilities, gym facilities
  • Company medical/dental plans and 401K enrollment
  • PTO and major holidays off (over 4 weeks paid time off in 2020)
  • First year avg. range of $40K-$65K+ (range includes base + commission) Year two $80K+
  • Growth opportunities into Sales Management in our Portland Office (other office transfers possible)
  • Great corporate culture and community volunteerism

What you’ll bring:

  • (Some) Sales experience (B2B preferred, not just customer service)
  • College Degree or related experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • High motivation to succeed and grow into an expanded role
  • Ability to explain how a deficiency in one of the above categories won't hinder you to succeed
