Job Summary

As Account Executive you will be directly in charge of generating new or incremental revenue through sales of non-media assets of teams, arenas and stadiums across the sport verticals of MLB, NBA and NHL.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aggressively pursue and maintain effective business relationships at senior client levels and serve as expert consultant
  • Procure new clients and advertisers for the expanding MMR verticals
  • Assist in development of a methodical and organized approach for specific sales categories
  • Partner with traditional Home Team Sports sales teams to increase incremental and develop new sales revenue
  • Develop and build new concepts, cross-sales platforms and promotional opportunities
  • Increase opportunities for Home Team Sports access and business growth with new clients through relationship development and industry specific networking
  • Ensure optimal market coverage by participating in client activities, trade association events and socials and any ancillary activities that can assist in better visibility and revenue growth

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelors degree required (preference in Sports Media, Communications, Marketing or related fields)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in direct sponsorship sales, account management, sports marketing or new business sales
  • Experience in Team Sponsorship and Sports Arena Sales is strongly preferred 
  • Must have interest and knowledge of the sports industry and sponsorship sports sales
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with high-level clientele is required
  • Proven track record of innovative strategy development and ad revenue generation and/or support
  • Must be a strategic thinker and possess an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Must have superior public speaking and presentation skills and the ability to make effective and persuasive presentations in both one-on-one and group situations
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Revenue Generation systems, Custom Show, Wide Orbit is a plus
  • Must have strong leadership skills, business acumen and the ability to quickly access others’ key motivators and how to apply them for the best outcome
  • Must be solutions-oriented and have the ability to incorporate a client’s needs and perspective throughout all phases of a project or service
