Marketing Intern

Job Summary

What we need from our Intern:
Marketing:

• Assist with single game ticket sales strategy
• Work in conjunction with the Creative Services team to execute paid and organic art requests
• Distribute Give the Give /Sell-a-Thon Tickets to non-profits and distribute pocket schedules, flyers, posters to downtown business
• Build relationships with Downtown Phoenix Partnerships/Ambassadors
• Manage online newsletter copy/content
• Attend/Work all events

Public Relations:

• Attend media interviews (depending on the outlet)
• Coordinate announcements with local and national media

Community Relations:

• Manage County Reads Summer Reading Program logistics
• Assist with appearances (players and coaches)
• Track autograph items and donation requests

Game Day:

• Assist with pre-game and post-game ticket promotions/events

Our Ideal Candidate will Possess:

• Ideal candidates should have a strong passion for women's basketball as well as strong written and verbal communication skills!
• They will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be working towards a 4 year degree in Marketing, Community/Public Relations preferred.
• This is a safety sensitive role so candidates will need a valid drivers license with a good driving record over the past three years and the ability to work free from impairment.

What can you expect?

• This role experiences flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime as business needs arise.
• Due to game day responsibilities, attendance at all home games and events from Mid April to approximately Mid October (or season end, which ever is the latter) is needed.
• This role will work approximately 30 hours per week, to include standing/walking for extended periods of time and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds on a semi-consistent basis.
• The Intern will be responsible for providing their own housing
• This position does travel to a from the Colosseum and Resort Arena as well run errands, reliable transportation is a necessity.
