Job Summary
Position Summary
As a key member of the Contracts Office team, the purpose of this position is to provide document guidance to Commission staff, especially in the areas of contracts and associated management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the Contracts Office with guidance from the Director of Legal Affairs including all phases of contract development, implementation, deadlines and file maintenance.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Legal Affairs regarding legal interpretations, challenges to existing and/or proposed contracts and other written agreements needing legal opinions.
- Review all documents to ensure accuracy, compliance and congruency.
Skill Requirements
- High level of judgment:Work with Director of Legal Affairs and the Office of the Attorney General’s designee to balance established standards against the need for exceptions to policies and practices; defines key issues objectively in dealing with sensitive situations.
- Careful attention to detail:Able to follow detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitors processes.
