Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide individualized strength and conditioning programs based on current needs analysis, screening processes, testing and monitoring data
- Continually monitor, review and work with the medical team services to ensure the needs of the women’s Head Coach are met in conjunction with appropriate service providers
- Collaborate with the medical team in the development of robust and effective ‘return to play’, ‘injury prevention’ and ‘screening’ protocols
- Collaborate with the WNT Head Coach and medical team in multi-disciplinary team meetings to address on-going athlete performance status and support the review processes
- Drive and manage research and innovation projects in conjunction with Women’s Head Coach’s performance model
Experience:
- Must be able to work with cutting edge technologies in team sports such as GPS, Heart Rate Monitoring, etc.
- Experience travelling with a team to major international competition at senior level
- Highly competent in performance profiling, trend analysis, data mining and managing large longitudinal data sets that systematically track and objectify performance
- Ability to scientifically validate and interpret methodology
- Knowledge of field hockey and female hockey athletes is preferred
