Director of Athletics

Job Summary

Position Overview:

The Athletic Director will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, policy development and management of all programs, staff, and facilities while in compliance with the rules and regulations of the university, NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association) and the MIAA (Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Conference). 

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Requires a university degree.
• 7+ years of successful athletic administrative experience in an NCAA environment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in ethical leadership, written and oral communication, relationship building skills, planning and organization, resource management, and cultural competency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years in an athletic leadership position. Demonstrated success in fundraising and growing alumni engagement.

• A commitment to the advancement of the University mission, community principles, and strategic plan; continued scholarly growth and service to the department, university and community.
