Job Summary



Summary

The position is responsible for aligning the Center for Sport's clinical program activities with the policies and procedures of the Center for Sport, the School of Medicine and the University, and assuring compliance with those policies. The Director of Clinical Operations provides operational analysis needed for clinical management and strategic program decisions, assists with developing program analysis and recommendations, and supports the development of program reports.

This position reports to the Medical Director and provides recommendations for clinical operations optimization (programmatic schedule changes, provider training and development, patient population profile). 

 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent supervisory skills.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to enhance operations, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with multiple groups independently and concurrently.
  • Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence and poise.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • A Master's degree and/or professional license in health care related fields such as nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • Three years experience at the management level, including direct responsibility for clinical operations and program scheduling
  • Experience in program development with an interdisciplinary model of care, including integrative medicine

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Doctorate and/or licensed professional in health care related fields such as; nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience developing programmatic policies and procedures.
  • Experience with clinical program development, implementation and management to include scheduling, data analysis, and staffing patterns.
  • Experience with staff training and development.
  • Experience in a clinical setting working with active duty military and/or veterans.
