Athletic Instructor Associate, NCAA

Job Summary

We're looking for candidates who have:

1. A bachelor or master's degree in appropriate area of specialization, with professional experience in collegiate athletics required.
2. Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and State Athletic Training Licensure is required.
3. Familiarity with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) governing rules. 
4. Ability to minister to others with the gospel through the platform of athletic training.
5. Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other athletic trainers, strength and conditioning personnel, and coaches.
6. Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with student-athletes.
7. Experience in a similar private Christian institution (desirable).

Key Job Duties

3. Evaluate, treat, and assist in the prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses.
4. Provide counseling and education to student-athletes on issues related to sports injuries.
5. Perform athletic training administrative duties including, but not limited to, record keeping and documentation.
6. Provide rehab therapy to athletes.
7. Work with doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student-athletes.
8. Travel with teams to road events as assigned.
9. Provide training coverage at each home event in which assigned teams are participating.
10. Assist with the review and updating of University training policies and protocols.
11. Work collaboratively with campus health care professionals, team physician, and counseling departments to provide appropriate medical oversight to student-athletes.
12. Disciple and mentor student-athletes in their Christian faith through platform of athletic training.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
