Job Summary
Job Description:
- Ensure NCAA Division I and Division II compliance. Work with Registrar and Faculty Athletics Representative on initial and continuing eligibility. Update Institutional Request List, activate/deactivate PSA's, manage web status reports. Monitor and confirm prior seasons of competition. Supervise countable athletically related activities, phone logs, official and unofficial visits, contacts, and evaluations. Handle all transfer requests and required paperwork. Advise on initial academic and amateurism issues, communication with high schools, parents/guardians. Produce medical and NCAA related waiver requests. Work with Student athlete, parents/guardians and coach. Ensure compliance with USA Rugby Regulations for Men's and Women's Rugby. Monitor initial and continuing eligibility. Submit eligibility waivers when appropriate. Communicate with USA Rugby staff when necessary. Supervise coaches with regard to above.
- Work with NCAA eligibility Center and NCAA staff. Communicate NCAA Interpretations and education. Produce a monthly newsletter. Answer interpretation questions from administration and coaching staffs. Report violations to NE10 and NCAA. Assist with NCAA reports as assigned. Communicate with NE10 and NCAA staff with regard to interpretations. Complete and generate NLI and degree awards/benefit information for student athlete.
- Administer/Oversee NCAA and Institutional Drug testing programs. Site supervisor for campus testing. Produce notification of positive test results for student athlete, coach, AD, AT, and Dean of students.
- Serve on appropriate committees as requested - job searches, Athletic Compliance, Compliance Review, Faculty Athletic Council, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Required Degree(s): Bachelor's degree
- Preferred Degree(s): Master's degree
