Job Summary

• Develops and administers operating budgets including review and approval of budgeted expenses and achievement/reporting of budgeted revenues


• Manages American Hockey League (“AHL”) relationship and attends AHL Board of Governor (or other) meetings with the Team’s Governor or Alternate Governor(s), unless the Owner determines that attendance is not warranted in the circumstances


• As directed by the Owner or his appointed designate, liaises with the General Manager and/or Coach on budget, community events involving team/players, scheduling and hockey relations in general


• Manages non-hockey staff, including annual performance and salary reviews


• Serves as Alternate Governor at the option of the Owner

• Manages day-to-day operations of individual departments and their activities as it relates to budget, time schedule, business/marketing plans, and specific deliverables

• Coordinates with staff of Capital Sports Holding Inc. who have the concert industry and promotor relationships to secure concerts, family shows, and other non-hockey events for the CAA Arena

• Develops marketing strategy, advertising, programs, sales materials


• Identifies and approves new sponsor opportunities and pricing of both new and existing elements (rinkboards, in-ice, signage, promotions, publications, broadcast, etc)


• Establishes departmental goals, objectives, activity reports, sales targets, compensation packages


• Primary driver of revenue across the organization

• Establishes department goals, objectives, activity reports, sales targets (group, Flex Pack and Season ticket), compensation packages


• Determines and executes ticket programs and sets ticket pricing


• Develops and/or approves sales materials


• Sell all products (season tickets, groups, sponsorship / advertising)

• Directs and monitors all elements of department including community programs, press releases, website content and development, game-day activities (media and other), magazine and lineup content, design and production


• Collaborates with Hockey Operations staff in regards to player appearances and interviews.


• Public speaker / networking

• Responsible for all facets of game presentation, either through interfacing with full-time staff responsible for each area or, directly if necessary. This would include game script, on-ice and in-arena promotions, event staff (ticket takers, security, entertainment, officials, off-ice officials, media, broadcasters, ambulance attendants), 

• Assist Hockey Operations department as necessary

• Responsible for team activity with the community and NHL Team Foundation
