Assistant Director of Academic Services - Athletics

Job Summary

This position provides guidance and support to student-athletes in the University intercollegiate athletic program, assists in managing a student services program, and assists with daily operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage study halls including hourly and objective based.
• Monitor and maintains all study and tutoring space utilized by tutors.
• Provide guidance to student-athletes in course selection, class scheduling and declaring a major.
• Maintain student program plans for each student-athlete's major/minor selection.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of students' academic progress and performance;
• Monitor NCAA, ACC and institutional requirements continuing eligibility
• Assist in managing assigned student services program
• Complete verification forms for student-athletes in their final semester if less than full-time
• Update and track academic progress utilizing degree progress reports and tracking folders
• Review pre-certification results regarding academic progress and degree percentage met
• Complete semester summaries for APR and continuing eligibility.
• Assists with daily operations of TACE
• Create and distribute excused absence and travel letter document for student-athletes
• Participate in Professional Committees, Programming, and Collaborations.
• Available to work evening and weekend hours and travel, if needed
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director of Academic Services or Senior Associate Athletic Director
