Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary

• Assist in developing and administering various human resources policies and programs for all organization personnel, and responding to inquiries regarding same 

• Support HR team with managing employee relations issues 


• Assist with terminations and exiting for all employees, including conducting exit interviews, preparing and processing termination paperwork, retrieving company property, and handling claims for unemployment benefits


• Assist in administering benefits, compensation and employee performance programs


• Provide backup support for payroll and timekeeping processing


• Maintain employee files, prepare HR reporting and handle employment verification requests 


• Serve as HR Partner for unionized work force


• Nurture a positive working environment 


• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study 


• Minimum 3 years’ HR Generalist experience demonstrating knowledge of HR practices 


• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 


• Experience using Microsoft CRM and ABI databases preferred


• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally


• High level of organization and attention to detail, with an ability to multi-task
