Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR function for the MLB Team in all areas, including recruitment, talent management and employee relations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and administering various human resources policies and programs for all organization personnel, and responding to inquiries regarding same
- Support HR team with managing employee relations issues
- Assist with terminations and exiting for all employees, including conducting exit interviews, preparing and processing termination paperwork, retrieving company property, and handling claims for unemployment benefits
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation and employee performance programs
- Provide backup support for payroll and timekeeping processing
- Maintain employee files, prepare HR reporting and handle employment verification requests
- Serve as HR Partner for unionized work force
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study
- Minimum 3 years’ HR Generalist experience demonstrating knowledge of HR practices
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience using Microsoft CRM and ABI databases preferred
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with an ability to multi-task
- Flexible work schedule
