Assistant Athletic Trainer or Head Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

The Head Athletic Trainer will develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive sports medical program for the university intercollegiate sports. The head athletic trainer will also perform professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the program.



Minimum Job Requirements:

For Head Athletic Trainer

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization
• Four years professional experience required
• Master's degree and two to three years professional experience preferred
• A valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions

 For Assistant Athletic Trainer

• A Bachelor's degree required with a Master's degree preferred.
• Intercollegiate athletic training experience and athletic teaching experience is preferred. 
• Must be of good moral character with conduct consistent with the university and state code of conduct.
• A valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with NCAA governing rules
