Job Summary

The coordinator will assist the Sport Science Manager in delivering performance-enhancing services to elite athletes training daily. The coordinator will have the opportunity to be involved with a variety of essential tasks; including the monitoring of physiological responses to training, assessing physical performance standards, undertaking data management and data analysis, generating reports and data visualizations for coaches and athletes, evaluating new technologies and innovations, and other associated tasks as required.
 
 
 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist and implement any objective and subjective athlete monitoring and assessment-related tasks and interventions.

  • Assist the sport science Manager in planning and preparing testing and evaluation tasks.
  • Acts in an inter-disciplinary role with other technical areas to support sport science requirements as deemed necessary.

  • Collaborate with other staff members on sports science applications that inform working practices and provide expert solutions to technical priorities and needs.

  • Evaluates technologies and new innovations within the sport science domain as required.
  • Understand the theory, research, and scientific applications as they relate to elite level MMA athletes.

 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Candidates should demonstrate their ability to deliver a variety of physiological testing protocols and the capacity to follow methodological procedures.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to work independently on assigned tasks and deliver outcome goals effectively.

  • Candidates must have strong desire to work in a high-performance environment with elite athletes and coaches.

  • Experience working with collegian or professional athletes preferred but not essential.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) for data analysis, data management, and data reporting.

  • Experience and good knowledge of data computing and statistics.

  • Sufficient working (written & spoken) English language proficiency for confident and effective communication.
