Senior Director of Development-Athletics

Job Summary

Senior Director of Development-Athletics is responsible for major gift fundraising and supports programs through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects for the Athletics Department at KSU. May oversee other development office staff and others as required including student workers. Responsible for oversight of the fundraising arm of the Athletic Department, The Owls Fund. Leads and executes all donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for major gifts, $50,000 and above and also oversees the giving cycle for athletics donors at the leadership level ($1000-$49,000). Works with development and athletics leadership to design and implement annual fundraising strategy and programs for KSU athletics. Responsible for facility or program improvement funding, capital project fund generation, and donor management. Responsible for direct communication with KSU's athletic director and serves as part of the Athletic's executive leadership team.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in post-secondary education, business or related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related experience in major and/or annual giving or other related fundraising roles
