Opening in January 2023, the Pickleball Hall (www.pickleballhall.com) will be the premiere location to play pickleball in Suffolk County, Long Island. The vision for the Pickleball Hall is to give a first class experience for all our members and guests. We want to build a community for those who want a healthier and more active lifestyle. We imagine members will come play regularly, attend special events, play in open play and participate in tournaments. Pickleball Hall will welcome everybody, everyday, all the time. We plan on having an exciting pickleball schedule including open play, leagues and tournaments and pros on staff to teach clinics and private lessons. Most importantly, we want the Pickleball Hall to be a place where our members and guests can call home.


DESCRIPTION


Pickleball Hall is seeking a welcoming and well organized leader to be the Club Manager. The ideal candidate has a passion for Pickleball and wants to help build this community. As we are a start up operation, we are looking for a hard working individual where no task is too small or beneath them. Come, be part of our Pickleball Hall’s growth! After establishing the model in Sayville, the Pickleball Hall intends to expand into other areas of the Metro NY/NJ area.

The Club Manager (CM) is responsible for providing a legendary member experience for a brand new Pickleball club. The CM will ensure efficient and effective operations of the Pickleball Hall and will directly manage other team members. The CM will focus on driving membership and revenue growth, retention, and cost management of the facility. The CM is responsible for the programming calendar, making sure appropriate professionals are on hand, and when needed, fill in.

In addition, the Club Manager is responsible for:

  • Greeting all members with a positive attitude and always representing the Pickleball Hall in a professional manner.
  • Execute all opening/closing operational procedures to ensure the club runs smoothly
  • Ensuring the club provides high levels of customer service, a consistently clean court floor and bathroom facilities, friendly/inviting service in which the CM is present and available for members to give feedback.
  • Coordinating open play, pickleball leagues, mixers and tournaments
  • Teaching pickleball classes, private lessons, and clinics for youth, teens, and adults.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper equipment is ordered and maintained
  • Supporting Pickleball Hall’s promotional efforts on social media, online and in traditional media
  • Onboarding new team members and recruiting qualified certified professional Pickleball teachers
  • Hitting all key metrics in membership, revenue, retention, and cost management
  • Continuously seeking new avenues to gain members including but not limited to innovative events in the club and special clinics by pros players

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2 + years of management in a fitness, hospitality, or retail facility, including direct experience in revenue generation, staffing, and people management
  • Child & Adult AED/CPR certified
  • Certificate from International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)
  • Ability to proficiently use our POS, membership, CMS systems, and other computer programs
  • Social media skills to promote activities at Pickleball Hall
  • Able to write and edit print and online marketing materials
  • BA or BS degree (preferred)
