Staten Island, New York USAAbout
I am a former Division I Athlete (Baseball, LIU) who began coaching immediately after graduating in 2006. I recently opened a company focused on youth (ages 4-6) sports development where the focus is on falling in love with the game of baseball rather than ability. It is my dream to coach baseball full time.
Experience
Head Junior Varsity Coach
Sep 2019 - Present
At New Dorp, my time has been interrupted by the pandemic.
I have had the pleasure to learn from another legendary Staten Island coach in this time, Raymond Smith. During this time we have not been allowed to physically meet with out players. We are still progressing as ballplayers through virtual meets and workouts.
Head Junior Varsity Coach
Sep 2013 - Sep 2019
At Port Richmond, I learned how to teach baseball rather than coach it. My team was filled with inexperienced athletes from other sports as we tried to keep the JV alive. Overall I am proud of the work accomplished here.
Head Varsity Coach
Sep 2011 - Sep 2013
These two years I tried to do everything possible to get this club recognized by the PSAL. As head coach, I handled recruiting for this new team which posted a challenge. Overall, we had a decent run for a novice squad and had a couple of players move on to play collegiately.
I am proud to be a part of their history. They are now PSAL.
Assistant Varsity Coach
Sep 2010 - Sep 2011
This was my first year coaching in the public school system.
At this point in time, The College of Staten Island/McKown (CSIM) High school baseball team was a club team and not involved in PSAL play.
Assistant Coach, Varsity
Sep 2009 - Sep 2010
In my third year at St. Peter's I worked Directly under Coach Eberlein at the varsity level.
