Senior Accountant

Job Summary

• Manages the monthly close process including balance sheet reconciliations and generation of financial statements.

• Assist leadership with review and analysis of monthly financials.


• Files monthly sales and use tax returns accurately and timely.


• Responds to and manages requests from auditors and tax return preparers. 


• Stays current on accounting changes and best practices as well as state, federal, and local laws regarding company operations.


• Maintains regular and professional relationships with vendors and business partners.


• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.


• Other duties, as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. 


• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience. 


• Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP and close processes. 


• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. 


• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. 


• Resourceful in completing work and meeting deadlines.  


• Able to recognize discrepancies and respond to work errors in a skilled manner.


• Able to plan and organize projects accordingly, in order to meet deadlines. 


• Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills.


• Analytical thinker and creative problem solver.


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
