What part will you play? 

The Director of Business Operations and Development will oversee much of the day-to-day operations of the business, which includes PGA.com and the PGA's premier events, PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, as well as have responsibility for developing new strategic partnerships that support the business strategy and drive revenue. The Director will report to and partner with the GM of PGA.com in managing the day-to-day operations and responsibility for the property. He / she will also assist in setting and implementing the strategy for the business, managing the P&L, and directing and collaborating with many of the shared resource / matrix groups that support the business, including sales, production, marketing, PR, research, analytics, etc. The position will also have responsibility for managing PGA.com's current partnerships and working with partners and internal groups to grow these businesses and relationships. 

What will you be doing? 
Business Operations: partners with the GM to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, helps oversee planning and execution of PGA.com tent pole events, assists in setting strategy and determining initiatives that advance it, collaborates with core teams in Product, Content, Operations, and Web Dev, serves as main liaison with Sales to collaborate and create sponsorship opportunities, and serves the role of validating and approving the end products, features and services that make it to the consumer. Applies quantitative discipline to the business and creates / oversees efficient work process, prioritizes projects based on financial modeling and appropriate metrics, sets and tracks metrics of success and enforces accountability, coordinates and leads internal staff meetings and PGA status meetings, develops major presentations for reporting to partners and senior management 

Business Development: develops new strategic partnerships that drive business goals and revenue. This includes creating a roadmap of new business opportunities, conducting market analysis, developing business cases, identifying partners, negotiating deals, developing and implementing program launch, marketing and growth plans. Business Program Management: develops and executes annual plans to grow existing business programs, oversees PGA.com's roles and responsibilities of the partnership, and establishes regular KPI and royalty reporting with partners. 

What do we require from you?

  • 6+ years of experience/exposure in the areas of business operations, digital media, and business development
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic partnerships
  • Strong strategic thinking background
  • Successful track record in managing people and projects toward getting results
  • Exposure to conducting business and market analysis
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting, and success working in a matrixed organization
  • Affinity for sports preferred
