Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball

Job Summary

Duties:

• Assists the head coach in all facets of the women’s basketball program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team.
• Assumes responsibility for at least two of the following basketball program operations: scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, summer camps.
• Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum one to three years of successful prior experience coaching basketball at the high school, collegiate or equivalent level.
• Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the University’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit/sign quality student athletes.
• Successful recruitment experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in player development.
• Synergy System experience.
• Experience in student-athlete academic support.
• Practice/Game scheduling experience.
• Experience in sport camp/clinic development, administration.
