Position: Manager of eCommerce Sales and Activation
Department: Ticket Sales
Reports To: VP of Sales & Service
Overview:
Reporting directly to the VP of Sales & Service, the Manager of eCommerce Sales and Activation provides general sales operations support for the Ticket Sales department. Core functions focus on supporting the Ticket Sales senior management group, primarily in the eCommerce category. Day-to-day responsibilities include: assisting ticket sales operations, revenue targets, marketing campaigns, and customer development including, customer retention and new sales initiatives. Successful candidate must be technically adept and comfortable working in an eCommerce and analytics driven space. Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· In collaboration with VP of Sales & Service and other key stakeholders, assist in the development/creation of all ticket sales campaigns (including digital ads & brochures, emails, social media, text messages, in-stadium, web assets and so on).
· Organize and execute all Ticket Sales Special Events (planning, coordination and activation).
· Oversee all non-ticket inventories sold by the department including but not limited to, scoreboard messages, on-field pre-game events, and early batting practice.
· Design email campaigns that are consistent with the Chicago White Sox brand style, which will drive sales & revenue.
· Implement persuasive call to action and tracking mechanisms (e.g. came from codes) as needed.
· Assist with, schedule and deploy emails for various White Sox products.
· Recommend opportunities to optimize email creative and campaigns based on results of executed emails (e.g., open rates, click-thru rates) and email marketing best practices; working with internal and external partners.
· Work in collaboration with internal digital & social media team to build out whitesox.com pages and content, which support ticket sales products.
· Work with internal Analytics team to request, capture and analyze data on all key campaigns.
· Actively assist in training and educating of ticket sales staff.
· Fulfills additional assignments as needed by Ticket Sales management team, including game day.
Requirements:
· College Degree in Sport Management, Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
· 4 years sales, ticketing, and support experience; some direct sales & marketing experience a plus
· Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is required
· Foundational CRM experience & analytics knowledge
· Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.)
· Experience with web content management systems
· Demonstrated knowledge of email marketing trends and best practices
· Ability to multi-task between concurrent assignments, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles and work well under pressure.
· Strong organizational skills a must, ability to adhere strictly to project timelines and/or deadlines.
· Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills; must work both independently and as part of a team
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
· Attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution and follow-through in all responsibilities a must
· Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays (based on team’s home baseball schedule)
