Position Title:   Data Manager

Location:            Washington, DC              

Department:    Digital Products and Technology            

Reports to (supervisor):            Chief Information Officer

Position Summary:

Special Olympics, Incorporated is a global organization that collects, manages and reports on a wide array of data.  The organization seeks a Data Manager to assist in the development of a data platform to provide a single view of our constituents and their touch points.  Constituents include but are not limited to athletes, volunteers, donors, advocates, family members, and heath clinicians.  We also strive to capture those supporters who interact with us on our web and social properties.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Master Data Management

Data Architecture

Integrations with various data sources (internal and external)

Reporting, analytics and business intelligence

Creating real time dashboards

Data appends

Data hygiene

Required Qualifications: 

Knowledgeable about data modeling, data access and data storage technologies

Experience in working with big data tools and technologies

Experience with large scale, global CRM initiatives to include requirements gathering and implementation

Building data pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate data from many different sources

Experience with data cleansing, curation, parsing, integration, and editing

Experience in developing models that can be used to make predications

Experience with scraping social media, using social media APIs

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

 

Desired Qualifications: 

Experience with Azure hosting and services

Experience with HTML/Javascript/XPath/JSON/Drupal and other web technologies
