Job Summary

SUMMARY

Under Armour is looking for a Logistics & Distribution Developer to manage the research, development, and manufacturing of all labeling and packaging needs within Under Armour’s supply chain.  This GL&P Developer will support efforts around compliance, quality, and efficiency with a focus on the logistics and distribution portion of the supply chain.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for seeking to understand how labeling & packaging fits within our global supply chains and an emphasis on logistics and distribution.  In this role, the candidate will understand how to manage, develop, and produce packaging and labeling while understanding the flow of goods and various requirements needed for distribution. The Developer will have to demonstrate knowledge in distribution processes and the requirements to get product around the globe compliantly, at quality, and cost effectively.  The developer will work multi-functionally to ensure that packaging and labeling designs are executed to the highest standard while working with worldwide suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Create and sustain strategy, standards, and processes for logistics packaging and labeling for supply chain, distribution centers, and suppliers

·         Identify outer case sizing and case pack quantity strategy while implementing updates in systems working with the multifunctional IT, supply chain, and product teams

·         Implement and support cost savings and efficiency initiatives with our global distribution centers and product hubs to support increased speed to market

·         Work with global distribution centers and suppliers on packaging and labeling standards and identify strategic suppliers

·         Partner with product teams to implement standards across BOMs and systems while aligning with purchasing, sourcing, design, IT, and master data

CRITICAL SKILLS THIS PERSON MUST HAVE:

·         Manage complexity, multiple schedules/priorities, and problem solve knowing the key constraints and stakeholders

·         Ability to collaborate globally and partner with legal, sourcing, product development, logistics, suppliers, factories, and supply chain

·         Industry knowledge in the labeling & packaging and distribution is a plus!

·         Highly driven to take initiative of projects and make decisions

EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 2 years directly relevant work or related experience
