Summary

Under Armour is looking for a Sustainability Analyst to help ensure our business is conducted in a legal, ethical and responsible manner, consistent with the highest standards.  The Sustainability Analyst will assist in executing the Sustainability vision by researching, developing and ensuring compliance for environmental and social practices. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data analysis of audit findings and country risks, to identify trends and appropriate preventive solutions for program development and implementation, which includes identifying suppliers for further focused training or coaching based on regular trends analysis and providing input internally on potential supply chain risk.
  • Establish contacts and actively engage in dialogue with CSOs, government bodies and professional institutions, to further the goals and transparency of the organization.
  • Produce reports to develop, forecast and report on overall program KPI’s and targets to internal business partners and suppliers.
  • Assist factory remediation by advising on options, negotiating timeframes, sharing experiences and best practices and helping management locate the necessary expertise.
  • Attend seminars, trainings, meetings related to social compliance & sustainability in order to stay current on industry standards and methodologies. 
  • Facilitate the initial on-boarding process for new vendors working cross functionally with the FTSG team.
  • Schedule, track and communicate with third party audit firms regarding initial and annual audits for new and active vendors throughout the supply chain.
  • Create and maintain a master vendor list utilized by supply chain base & external stakeholders.
  • Work with CSR leadership to manage the CAP/remediation process and ensure that all issues identified in CAPs are closed out timely.
  • Engage with licensees and suppliers on audit remediation.
  • Write standardized operating procedures and long and short-term strategic plans, recommending policy and organizational changes needed to advance sustainability initiatives.
  • Execute implementation of the Fair Labor Association’s requirements into Under Armour’s supply chain in order to receive accreditation as a participating company.
  • Ensure the licensee(s) programs are effectively embedded in overall factories producing licensee product.
  • Provide ongoing financial reporting on costs and benefits of all programs.
  • Facilitate Sustainability presentations/trainings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate presentations/trainings regarding relevant social compliance topics to educate internal and external stakeholders. 

 Education and/or experience:   

  • Minimum BA/BS degree, Master’s degree preferred, with deep understanding and/or educational background in Corporate Social Responsibility as it relates to supply chain management.
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience with a proven record in social responsibility factory-based capacity building.
  • Experience in conducting and/or coordinating social compliance programs including program development, oversight, auditing and remediation.
  • Experience with data analysis, factory operations, auditing, and remediation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing supply chains and factory conditions.
  • Understanding of international labor standards, human rights, environmental issues.

Competencies:

  • Solid project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality management.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  •  Aptitude to evolve in an international environment. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Travel:

  • Willingness and ability to travel to other regions and or throughout the designated country, if, and as, needed. (5-10%)
