The Role:
As a junior member of the Live Nation Northern California marketing team, your job is to provide multiple levels of marketing support to the local marketing team with responsibilities primarily centered around social media and event recaps. This job is ideal for someone with social media experience who wants to learn more about the live music business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and create compelling content for multiple social media channels including but not limited to Live Nation local venue and brand pages
- Work with contracted graphic designer on creating social media content
- Work with local marketing team to incorporate social media posts into marketing plans
- Identify new social media tools and channels that Live Nation should use to effectively market events
- Compile Live Nation event marketing recaps and check for accuracy
- Review assigned event invoices for accuracy and approve for payment
- Create event specific e-cards for weekly distribution
- Compile weekly press releases for distribution
- Maintain contact lists, on sale schedules, other database & quick reference items
- Actively participate in booking and marketing meetings with new and engaging marketing ideas
- Assist with day to day marketing tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- 1-3 years experience in social media marketing, preferably in content creation
- Excellent attention to detail (both written and mathematical)
- Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
- Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel
- General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
- Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business a plus
- Some local travel will be required
- Must have a car to drive to and from venues when needed
