As Head of Analytics and Information you will be responsible for creating and executing a vision and strategy for leveraging information as both a key enabler and a competitive differentiator for iHeartMedia. You will work with stakeholders across the global iHeartMedia companies to understand our information needs and to get right-time information into the hands of those who need it to make critical decisions, as well as into the hands of our customers in the form of ROI analytics. You will also be the thought leader for use of information as a competitive weapon, strategic asset and source of customer delight at iHeartMedia, as well as for operational use of AI and machine learning to transform existing manual processes across our business. The ideal candidate has used public cloud analytics and database platforms to solve high-impact business problems in a rapidly changing environment.

                                                                                                    

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the strategic vision for iHeart’s next generation Analytics Platform.
  • Work with stakeholders across iHeartmedia to develop and manage the roadmap for iHeart’s Analytic capabilities.
  • Lead a growing organization of technology leaders and practitioners who will be tasked with building out the Analytic Platform.
  • Build a practice around machine learning and Artificial Intelligence to automate and/or enhance business processes.
  • Help ensure proper vetting and debate is done when selecting new technologies.
  • Stay apprised of the ever-changing technologies involved in big data, analytics, ML, AI and etc.
  • Identify and track key metrics for measuring efficiency of Agile teams across your organization.
  • Optimize flexibility and cost of analytical platform by leveraging cloud IaaS, SaaS and PaaS technologies. 
  • Selection and management of service partners where necessary.

 

Experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field.  MS or MBA a plus.
  • Track record of delivering business results by analytical capabilities in a large, global business.
  • Experience developing and executing strategy for big data and enterprise analytics.
  • Minimum 5 years leading software development teams which must include managing Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Must have strong understanding and experience working in AWS and/or Google cloud.
  • Has architected, developed and operated big data environments leveraging technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Redshift, BigQuery, Kafka, Spark, Dataflow,  AWS Lambda / Google Functions, Tableau and Qlik.
  • Understanding of open source ML/AI libraries and tools such as R, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib and etc.
  • Experience running ML processes in Tensorflow a plus.
  • Experience building highly resilient streaming, micro-batch and batch based data pipelines.
  • Experience managing budgets and developing business cases.
