Job Summary

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development, production, broadcast, and direction of all elements of entertainment media with a particular focus on the scoreboard entertainment program. Will collaborate with peers on the development of digital and video content including broadcasts and commercials for both internal and external marketing.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  1. Direct and choreograph the in-bowl entertainment for all eighty-one (81) home games, including P.A. Announcer; pre-game ceremonies; in-game video and digital boards operation; animated features; in-game music and mascots.
  2. Create and produce all video board features including player features, animation, music, and all other features.
  3. Provide fan entertainment that involves the crowd interactively enhancing the fan experience.
  4. Incorporate the organizational brand attributes into the in-game entertainment to assist in building the brand image of the Pirates.
  5. Oversee and manage the full-time and seasonal staff including training, scheduling, payroll and game day execution.
  6. Consult, choose and oversee the maintenance for the in-game entertainment equipment and capital.
  7. Oversee the department's relationship with ballpark operations in the scheduling of all maintenance for the in-game equipment.
  8. Manage the relationships with outside maintenance vendors and creative service companies.
  9. Build a historical library as well as a highlight video and audio library which includes seasonal condensed reels and clips.
  10. Incorporate corporate sponsor graphics and deliverables into the in-game production as requested, ensuring all corporate client agreements are fulfilled.
  11. Successfully manage annual budget.
  12. Collaborate with peers in Media Production, Communications, and Graphic Design on the development and execution of brand design elements.
  13. Assist in the development, production and editing of broadcast videos and commercials for both internal and external marketing.

Secondary:

  1. Assist in development of content road map.
  2. Collaborate with other organizational departments for digital media needs.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Media, Video Production, Communications or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of video production/video editing experience.
  3. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.

Desired:

  1. Prior experience in a professional sports environment.
  2. Prior experience in graphic design or animation.
  3. Experience with Production Software such as: Final Cut Pro, Click Effects, Photo Shop, After Effect, Datronics.
