Production Planning Analyst

Job Description

This position will be responsible for creating production budgets and tracking costs for daily strip studio shows and studio pregame shows for the Fox Sports 1 and FBC networks totaling approximately $40M annually. Also provides monthly cost information to Accounting for financial close and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coordinating Producers and Studio Operations  group in developing budgets for Los Angeles based studio shows (News programming, daily & weekly series, NFL/MLB/CFB pregame shows).  
• Prepare weekly/monthly production flash reports, including variance analysis to annual budget and reforecasts for Management.    Requires coordination with production staff to review show elements and gather cost estimates, utilize studio and post production scheduling reports for union staff estimating, analyze cost run rates for estimating.
• Responsible for review of production petty cash disbursements to ensure proper application of company policy.
• Responsible for processing payments on American Express Bus Travel Account credit cards.
• Analyze actual cost information and reconcile general ledger activity to supporting labor reports.  Work with Finance, Payroll & HR groups to correct allocation or coding issues.
• Review 3^rd party production budgets and cost reports. 
• Provide supporting documentation to Accounting group for monthly production accruals.
• Provide Finance group with annual budget, quarterly forecast, monthly financial results, including variance explanations.
• Develop ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by Management.
• Monitor production payments against accruals, follow up with Production Operations and 3^rd party vendors to ensure timely processing of charges.
