Job Summary

This position is set for the Athletic Trainer to provide sports medicine services including: development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive sports medicine program the Academy.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides primary athletic training services including: injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, emergency management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, administrative duties, educational programs, and counseling for each sport.
• Manages necessary athletic and non-athletic related illness and injury referral to hospitals, physicians, or other appropriate services.
• Consults with strength and conditioning staff to ensure safety for assigned student-athletes during workouts in order to meet the individual needs of each student-athlete.
• Applies taping, bracing, and immobilization techniques to prevent injury and/or re-injury.
• Assures inventory of supplies and equipment for athletic training room and home events (i.e. game, practice, etc.).
• Maintains proper documentation (both paper and electronic) of all injury/illness evaluations and treatments; utilizes the injury tracking system to log daily evaluations, treatments, and rehabilitation's.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training/sports medicine (Master’s preferred)
• NATA certified
• Athletic Training Florida State License, or ability to apply for said license
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified
• Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer
