POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Chicago Bulls Business Strategy and Analytics Department is a unique in-house strategy group responsible for supporting the creative development and execution of long-term growth initiatives of the team in terms of both revenue and fans. Our team is dedicated to better understanding fans of the Chicago Bulls. With outputs of this enhanced understanding, we focus on improving customer facing revenue streams (e.g. tickets, sponsorship, merchandise, concessions), driving improved fan engagement, and optimizing overall marketing efforts across channels. We serve as consultants and advisors on the strategic direction for the company and on individual initiatives. The department's overall vision is to be a customer and consumer insight hub for the entire organization that delivers timely data and insights to the key decision makers across the business.



In this role, you will support strategic and financial evaluation and implementation of a broad range of business initiatives across various departments. These include building upon and developing new strategies to support organic and inorganic growth in existing and new business lines, and working with business leaders in departments such as ticketing, sponsorship, or merchandising to execute these strategies.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The department is looking to add a key team member to deliver across many strategic initiatives. While the role will evolve, initially you will be responsible for the following:



Lead cross-functional projects focused on high-priority areas and long-term growth
Manage resources that support ticket sales initiatives, including the CRM system
Unlock the power of the ticketing data by building predictive models and reports to more effectively price, sell and handle ticket inventory
Deploy consumer insights throughout the lead generation and sales process
Lead the development of a data warehouse solution for the organization
Build the strategy to evolve our reporting capability while driving user adoption throughout the process
Develop and mentor talent, both within the group and across the organization
Support special projects as needed





QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking to place a highly organized self-starter who can work well across departments to fill this role. You could be a potential match for this role if you have a strong mix of the following:



An undergraduate education with a focus in business, statistics, mathematics or economics with a consistent track record of professional and personal achievement
5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a role that relied heavily on data modeling and data analysis
2+ years managing resources, including responsibility for project assignments and performance evaluation
Experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets
Experience with modeling techniques including regression analysis and cluster modeling
Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience building and interpreting Tableau dashboards and reports (or an equivalent visualization software)
Experience developing models and automating workflows in Alteryx (preferred)
A strong desire to work for a high profile, small business
