The HD Coordinator, Leagues and Rinks is a full-time team member responsible for completing the daily tasks associated with running hockey leagues (specifically the LA Kings High School Hockey League) for the organization and assigned administration duties for the LA Kings Sled Hockey program.

League, Game, and In-Office Duties (including by not limited to):

All daily in-season tasks associated with running a league (or leagues)
High School Hockey League Registrar
Handling league related customer service issues
League website updating
Player and League staff communication
Executing League promotion initiatives
Identifying and recruiting new teams and schools
Planning for upcoming seasons
League equipment selection, ordering, and delivery
Organizing, prepping, and executing League meetings
Updating League budgets
Organizing, planning, and execution of any ticket sales programs to League participants
Assist in identifying additional revenue streams from Leagues
Assist with the organization, execution, and promotion of departmental ticket sales initiatives
Ticket sales client communication
General office tasks

Department (including by not limited to):

Assist with select departmental events as assigned by the Manager of Hockey Development.
Work select departmental events (i.e. camps, clinics, tournaments) as assigned by Manager of Hockey Development.
Work select organizational events (i.e. Meet the Players, Tip-A-King, Service Day) as assigned by Manager of Hockey Development

Hockey Development Coordinator Leagues and Rinks is required to work assigned office hours, select game nights, league events, select league games, and select organizational/departmental events. Coordinator will be limited to 40 hours a week plus pre-approved overtime.



SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:

Coordinator must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities, and be able to explain and demonstrate that she/he can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

Ability to consistently re-prioritize based on departmental and event needs.

QUALIFIATIONS STANDARDS:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduate from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.
BA from a 4 year college

Experience:

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook a must.
Experience in project management and client account management a must.
Experience in the sports and entertainment industry preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the sport of hockey a plus.
Experience in playing the sport of hockey a plus.
