The Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently in search of a Facility Management & Events Assistant for the 2018season. The position available will give candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports through our challenging and rewarding internship program. This position will require candidates to rely on analytical and quantitative problem solving skills in the areas of accounting, corporate finance, and operations - from January through the beginning of September 2018.

This position will work directly with the Director of Stadium Operations to provide the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating employees within an assigned concession area
- Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans
- Assisting in inventory controls and purchasing to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events
- Pursuing and coordinating all aspects of ballpark rentals- concerts, college games, city championships, etc.
- All facets of employee supervision, including janitorial services, in-game custodians and security
- Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark
- Primary liaison between group sales department and catering department
- Insuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night
- Be available for community appearances with or as the mascot

Qualifications:
- Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
- Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Further: Must have a working knowledge of basic accounting and finance. Candidates must have sound mathematical skills as well as basic problem solving skills. Event management and CRM skills are needed.

Interns will be required to help sell tickets and help in our concessions operations. Everyone working in professional baseball wears many different hats, so a willingness to go above and beyond one's normal duties is expected.
