Job Summary
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: Assist in increasing brand presence, visibility, and perception for MVP Sports Clubs and its sports and recreation facilities through community relations, community events, non-profit partnerships, internal events, marketing and other channels. Assist with media relations, advertising and other traditional marketing practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with implementation and support at regional community events, ensuring brand consistency, quality, awareness and promotion.
- Attend off-site community events, provide support to MVP team, serve as brand ambassador at community events, and assist with event day booth set-up and take down.
- Provide timely photo, video, summary information, and social media content creation, working directly with marketing manager to drive social media engagement.
- Report a recap or summary of event wins and losses of event attended.
- Assist with management and implementation of regional community event/sponsorship opportunities and requests. Work directly with marketing manager to determine best outreach for MVP Sports Clubs as it relates to mission, brand and community relations goals.
- Assist as brand ambassador in the community, supporting as contact between MVP and external community organizations (i.e. Chamber of Commerce, Non-Profit, etc.) while promoting and representing brand, generating awareness and driving traffic.
- Assist with MVP Health Points rewards tracking program initiatives and program growth.
- Work closely with the marketing department to ensure that all MVP Sports Clubs facilities are promoted, advertised and branded appropriately both online and through traditional practices.
- Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance, by wearing the MVP Sports Clubs uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications and/or journalism. Public relations background preferred.
- Good communicator possessing excellent verbal, journalistic and organizational skills.
- Practical knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and the AP Style Guide.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid command and discipline of English, grammar and composition is a must.
- Detail-oriented, team player and technologically savvy.
- Professional, dependable, and passionate.
- Fast learner, highly-organized, outgoing, and self-motivated.
- Solid work ethic with a knowledge of traditional marketing and public relations practices.
- Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; Lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
