Game and Team Operations Intern

Overview: The Game & Team Operations Intern will assist the Game and Team Operations Director in areas of responsibility including, but not limited to, gameday operations and setup, baseball operations, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

The Game and Team Operations Intern will work on various projects including, but not limited to: 

• Assist in communication with the Baltimore Orioles
• Coordinate needs fulfillment of Aberdeen IronBirds team coaching staff, medical staff, and players
• Assist with host family program coordination and fulfillment
• Assist with team travel
• Assist in communication with New York-Penn League umpires and league office
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating Fan Hosts (ushers, ticket takers, bag checkers, parking attendants, and Kids Zone employees)
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficiencies in gameday operations, including:
• Ticketing/Box Office, Marketing, Sponsorship, Game Entertainment
• Assist in coordinating janitorial needs across multiple divisions
• Assist with any special projects as designated by the Game and Team Operations Manager

Qualifications:

• Current college student or May 2018 college graduate
• Basic familiarity with the game of baseball
• Ability to work long hours
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
• Physical abilities to fulfill venue operations setup and maintenance tasks
• Passion for sports
• Ability to take pride and ownership in fulfillment of responsibilities

Working Conditions/Special Physical Requirements:

• Office and Stadium Environment
• Occasional exposure to extreme heat or cold
