Retail Management Intern (National Team Championships)

Job Summary

 Position Responsibilities: 

• Assist Baseball Retail staff with store set-up prior to the start of the tournament and breakdown at the conclusion of the event at both Sports Complex and Stadium 
• Maintain outstanding conditions and visual merchandising standards at West Championships Team Store 
• Manage the Baseball West Championship Team Store throughout the event, including monitoring inventory
• Support the Assistant Director and Senior Director by completing any administrative duties, including social media updates, as necessary
• Drive sales by recommending, selecting, and locating merchandise based on customer needs 
• Effectively manage the store’s point-of-sale system (Shopify) 
• Exceed the store’s sales goals by engaging with customers and providing excellent service
• Ensure the highest level experience for each individual who engages with Baseball Shop
• Responsible for product replenishment at Baseball West Championships Team Store
• Manage in store customer returns and exchanges 
• Manage the in-store barcode system. Ensure that all products are properly barcoded and in the Shopify POS system prior to going on display
• Maintain a clean store, including daily vacuuming, window cleaning, and organization of front desk counters, to ensure all public areas are professional in appearance
• Assist with performing physical inventories

Preferred Qualifications:

• Merchandise or retail experience preferred, though not required
• Desire to work in the exciting and fast paced field of professional sports
• Aspiration for personal and professional growth in the sports industry
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned

Required Education:

• All candidates should be in current pursuit of or possessing a bachelor's degree.
