Producer-Editor

Producer-Editor is responsible for producing video content for Tigers online channels, as well as for the Comerica Park Videoboard.  Producer-Editor conducts interviews, writes scripts, shoots footage and edits video as needed to create entertaining and informative video content promoting Detroit Tigers Baseball.

 

1.    Concepts, produces and edits creative video programming for Tigers online channels and in-game entertainment.
2.    With an informed knowledge of the Tigers and Major League Baseball, conducts recorded interviews and interactions with players, coaches and front office staff.
3.    Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, edits short form video features and promos.
4.    Demonstrates a proficient level of expertise with Adobe After Effects & Photoshop to ensure video production meets current creative standards.
5.    Acts as primary camera operator on field shoots.
6.    Assists in the maintenance and archiving of the Tigers historical video library.
7.    Interacts with team public relations to coordinate player & team personnel video shoots.
8.    Interacts with team marketing and promotions staff to ensure in-game promotions are executed properly and corporate partner needs are met.
9.    Plays an active role in leading the Tigers video production staff in the development of new programming ideas.
10.  Produces and edits videos for in-house, marketing and promotional needs.

 

1.    Bachelor’s degree in media, video production, or other related field.
2.    Minimum 3 years experience with video production software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.
3.    Experience with ENG production and video camera operation.
4.    High level of knowledge of the Detroit Tigers history and current players, and Major League Baseball.
5.    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
6.    Experience working for a professional sports franchise is a plus.
7.    Able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

 

1.    Must be able to lift 30 lbs and hold a shoulder mounted camera.
2.    Must be able to move around the ballpark unassisted, walking up and down stairs.
3.    Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
4.    Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
5.    Some travel required.
